He joined Mitsubishi Corporation in 1984 and spent 20 years in private equity (PE) related business in Tokyo and London. In 2002, he launched Alternative Investment Capital, a PE FOF management and advisory firm, as a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation, where he served as Executive Vice President and then President and Representative Director.

In 2010, he joined Capital Dynamics, a global private asset investment firm. He managed the firm's primary fund investments in Asia and was a member of the firm's Global PE Investment Committee and Executive Committee.

In 2020, he left Capital Dynamics and started providing various PE/VC advice to GPs in Japan and abroad on an independent basis. He has acted as an advisor to European and US buyout funds such as Rhone Group.

In addition, as Managing Director of MCP Asset Management, he was appointed management responsibility for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Business Succession Fund of Funds (SME M&A Investment Limited Partnership), which was established in December 2020 to develop and invest in business succession funds.

At the same time, he has participated as a director of Social Investment Partners, a general incorporated association engaged in venture philanthropy activities, since its establishment. He has been involved in support activities for social entrepreneurs and NPOs.
